Individual counselling offers a supportive space to explore personal challenges such as grief, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and interpersonal conflict. Grounded in a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, sessions are designed to help you uncover inner resources, build resilience, and create meaningful change—so you don’t just cope, you thrive.
Child & Adolescent Counselling
Counselling for children and adolescents provides a safe, engaging space to explore emotional and behavioural challenges through age-appropriate, creative methods such as play therapy. Using a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, I work at the child’s level of understanding and development to foster resilience, emotional growth, and positive change.

Your Counsellor
Hi, I’m Nims—a counsellor who believes in your capacity for self-discovery, transformation, and creating meaningful change in your life.
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. I’ve personally navigated grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting challenges, major life transitions, and relationship breakdowns—experiences that shape the way I connect with clients: with empathy, honesty, and a deep belief in the possibility of change.
I support individuals who feel stuck, uncertain, or simply longing for something more, helping them shift unhelpful patterns, build emotional resilience, and move toward a life that feels aligned and meaningful. You are the expert in your own story—my role is to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strength and embrace the journey ahead.
My Qualifications
I have a Master's Degree in Counselling from Monash University and a degree in International Studies from RMIT University.
I have also undertaken further study in Grief Counselling, Psychology and Christian Counselling.
I am a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and Sri Lanka National Counsellors Associations (SRILNAC).
